She is a qualified Smart Yoga Teacher, Personal Trainer, Fitness instructor and Exercise for Health Specialist (REPS Ireland) as well as a DSE risk assessor. She holds the BACPR Exercise Instructor Training certificate and Level 4 Cancer Specialist Instructor.

Alazne has been working as an Alexander Technique therapist and educator for the past five years, both at the training course at the Alexander Technique Centre Ireland, Galway, and as a private practitioner holding individual and group classes and therapy sessions both in Ireland and abroad (Spain, Italy, Hungary and the Basque Country).

She is a fully qualified Alexander Technique teacher, having completed the 1600-hour long training and the 500 hours postgraduate course. Alazne also holds a Degree in Economics and a Master in finance. After a career in finance for high-profile companies which lasted for over ten years she began suffering from back pain and postural problems. She discovered she had two bulging disks (L4 and L5) and doctors told her she needed to undergo a risky operation. That’s what led her to train as an Alexander Technique and now she has been able to function and lead a normal, active life which includes raising two young children, training at the gym and running.

Alazne has worked as an Alexander Technique Teacher at the training course at the Alexander Technique Centre Ireland, Galway.

She continuously works as a private practitioner holding individual and group classes in Ireland and abroad (Spain, Italy, Hungary and the Basque Country).

Alazne is working at Croí (the West of Ireland Cardiac Foundation) with a variety of participants who have suffered from cardiovascular diseases, cognitive function problems, back pain, stress, different types of injuries (knee, neck etc.).

She is part of the Safefit Research as part of the Cancerehab.uk working online with Cancer Survivors through Exercise and Alexander Technique as Therapy.

She has given workshops for different organisations such as NUIG, Medtronic, the Spinal Injury Association of Ireland, the Galway Blue Note Choir, and several schools. She has collaborated on an NUIG research project (Department of Drama) on the benefits of theatre for individuals with Down Syndrome, in which she designed physical activity programmes for the participants.

She presented her Master research ‘The role of the Alexander Technique in Exercise for Cancer Survivors’ at the Irish Annual Cancer Research conference in February 2020.

Alazne offers tailored packages for individuals or groups targeted for their specific needs, which include training, injury prevention and rehabilitation. She also offers corporate training packages which focus on improving wellbeing as well as preventing and dramatically reducing back injuries, one of the main problems in modern society.

Alazne is a member of ISATT (Irish Society of Alexander Technique Teachers) and APTAE (Spanish Association of Alexander Technique Teachers).
